Hi, I’m Matt 👋
I’m a content writer and digital marketing specialist.
My story begins back in 2017 somewhere near the Minneapolis airport. I just finished a long day laying tile in the Mall of America with my Bosnian crew members. I kicked off my dusty work boots, cleaned up, and made dinner.
I was watching YouTube while I ate and a video popped up on my screen. It was some random guy talking about living in Thailand, and how inexpensive it is. He said he pays for it by writing content online for a few clients back in the USA.
Consider my interest piqued.
I’ve always been a writer. I used to rewrite biology books by hand as a kid. Instead of getting timeouts, my parents would make me write essays, and I wrote a lot of essays.
Over the next 90 days, I threw myself into the idea of writing online. I’d listen to podcasts while laying tile and watch videos during my lunch break. I was obsessed.
And then, it happened.
One of the cryptocurrencies I was invested in exploded. It was my very own deus ex machina. I was by no means a rich man, but I had enough to shoot my shot.
Long story short, I finished my last commercial tile project, paid off all my debts, sold everything I owned, and flew to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Within a few months I landed my first client – a blockchain website based out of the same city I was living in. Then a web development company based out of Colombia. I was living my dream, working remotely and exploring this beautiful planet we call home.
Over the next five years, I traveled to seven different countries and worked with dozens of businesses. I went from being a Writer, to being a Digital Marketing Manager, and finally a Senior Marketing Strategist.
I’ve built blogs, launched e-commerce brands, created paid advertising campaigns, built websites, traveled all over, and made a lot of amazing friends along the way.
