The Last 7 Months Were Insanely Profitable — So Why’d They All Suck?

After a few rounds on the feast/famine ferris wheel, I was dying to get off.

Successful prospecting led to late nights fulfilling orders.

Late nights prevented me from adding qualified prospects to my pipeline.

All my time was tied up delivering for clients I fought so hard to get, which left me the choice between two necessities: prospecting, and sleeping.

I was tired and stressed out. My wife was confused — and getting worried.

She wasn’t alone. One of our little ones was getting ready to go to kindergarten.

The other never seemed to have enough diapers.

I consciously chased my tail for a few months until I had enough.

Determined to make it all work, I vowed to create a system.

That vow saved my business, my sanity, and probably my marriage…

I figured there’s really only 2 things an entrepreneur must do to find success. It’s simple:

     1. Find Clients
     2. Serve Clients

The difficult part is operating your life in a way that ALLOWS your business to succeed, AND leaves you enough time to maintain the system you’ve built.

Once that’s solved, work-life balance becomes an option again.

For example, let’s say you’re a B2B consultant struggling to grow your brand.

You know you need a process for finding clients, and an offer that helps your client’s business grow.

This is the EXACT scenario that eventually leads soon-to-be successful business owners to ask a series of questions:

How much do these two tasks depend on my time?

What if there were a way to systematize both of these tasks?

What if my prospecting efforts weren’t focused to operate one-yes-at-a-time?

What if they were designed to turn prospects into VOCAL ADVOCATES of my brand, continuously sending qualified leads in my direction?

What if my offer, in and of itself, COMPELLED my clients to talk about it highly with their business buddies?

The night I asked myself these questions, I couldn’t sleep. Too excited.

Electrified, I answered that series of questions, and created a system for myself.

It was finished. The ferris wheel ride from hell came to a end.

Every ounce of work I put into my business was MAGNIFIED by a machine that worked harder — and faster — than I ever could.

It was like a bicycle for my brand.

And once you learn, you never forget.

Oh, and it’s a lot more fun to bike around town with a group of biker friends.
